Common questions

Do I need to handle KYC for crypto buyers?
Depends on jurisdiction. We provide an optional KYC widget (Sumsub / Persona) triggered above per-tx and per-day thresholds you set. Below threshold, anonymous purchase is legal in most jurisdictions; we surface compliance regions in the dashboard.
What if BTC price moves between checkout and confirmation?
Lightning settles in <3 seconds — price slippage is negligible. For on-chain BTC, we lock a 15-minute USD-pegged quote via stablecoin swap. Customer pays the locked amount or the quote expires.
How do creator payouts in USDC work tax-wise?
USDC is treated as currency by IRS as of 2026 (Notice 2024-15). We generate per-creator 1099-MISC for US creators showing fair-market USD value at receipt. International creators get a settlement report; their local tax treatment is theirs to handle.
Pricing?
0.8% platform fee on volume after early-access (vs 3.5% for card processors). Plus chain gas (typically $0.001–0.05 per tx). No monthly minimum. Enterprise volume >1M USDC/mo: 0.4% + dedicated multi-sig.
Is this PCI / MSB regulated?
Non-custodial flow means we're not an MSB under FinCEN guidance. PCI doesn't apply (no card data). Each platform must register as a money-transmitter in some US states if processing >$X/year — we provide the registration checklist in the onboarding.
